Crock Pot Apple Sauce- Super easy

My super simple and super easy Apple Sauce recipe

In crock pot
6 lbs cored peeled slice apples
2 tablespoons Lemon Juice
4 Sticks Cinnamon
1 cup water
High on 4 Hours or until can easily mash to sauce with blender.

To can remove cinnamon sticks
Mash or beat till desired consistency
ladle into jars while hot
(We use Quart and get average of 5)
Water bath for 25 minutes .Boom Bobs your uncle you have apple sauce..
Till the kids find it, then you have empty jars again that is.
I used to can it in pints but they go though it so quick, That I am thinking We need to move up to 1/2 gallon jars

Some suggest tools are a apple peeler corer like this one.(not an affiliate link) https://amzn.to/3ny3LeP

Crock Pot i use was 27 when We bought 2 of them 2 years ago We use both at same time need more
https://amzn.to/3nx7XeN
for this one We can in a large Tamale pot we got at local food city it fits 6 quarts.
Get the apples locally at
https://www.americandiscountfoodsaz.com/
Getting full 40 Lbs boxes for around 12 dollars
Have used following varieties
Red Delicious
Gala
Honey Crisp
Granny
Gala was the best hands down worst due to fact of water content was the red delicious. Would skip this one going forward.
You want a nice firm apple helps with the coring and peeling and makes more final product AN apple with to much juice equals way less sauce when down.
Honey crisp have used several times and it work fairly well not the best but tastes really good!
